I agree with showing trafficked humans compassion. We don't know how these people got into this situation. The left wants to normalize "sex work". But giving them Saris is a problem. Would they give junkies IV needles?

I'd have thought this was encouraging them in their sin, confirming them in it and keeping silent about it. Food and other life essentials would have covered the charity angle!

I dunno. Maybe they are also sharing the gospel with them. I the blessing of making a visit to an MC house in Montreal. They had a soup kitchen for the homeless. Before meal they would have say the Rosary or had a Bible study.

Sometimes people are so confused they just need to know that they are wanted and loved by God. Sometimes things take time to set in. They are the spiritual equivalent of the traveler beset by robbers in the Gospel parable.

Mother Theresa wasn't 'big' on sharing the gospel. She wanted to be non-judgmental. She wanted to merely help the unloved - probably....maybe - because God made them.

Laurel; I never met Mother Theresa. But her MC's are into sharing the Gospel. But they don't turn away the needy because they aren't Christian. They have baptisms at the house that I have helped at. The residents make Holy Hour every day. They also generate many vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
