The aim of the synod on synodality is to undermine the faith and adapt it to a [supposed] "fashion of the day", Bishop Athanasius Schneider told EWTN (20 October).
He denounced the diocesan synodal processes as non-transparent, manipulative and a way of hearing only those who want to change the faith, while Catholics "are despised or not heard".
Catholic people and priests told Schneider that their input into the synod has been ignored and "many" bishops fear the synod is a cover for a pre-determined agenda in Rome. He agrees with Cardinal Müller that there is a "hostile takeover of the Church" by enemies of the faith.
The [feigned] "hearing process" is a problem for Schneider in principle, because the Church is not a parliament with "democratic" methods, because it has to teach the faith handed down by the apostles, not to listen to opinions.
"Jesus Christ did not say: go and listen to the pagans, the Gnostics, the Buddhists. That is a perversion of the nature of the Catholic Church.More

Veritas,
(1) Archbishop Schneider is not a cardinal,
(2) during Francis' visit, Archbishop Schneider said, "... the meeting was “dangerous” and could come off as the pope supporting “a supermarket of religions,” “undermining the uniqueness and absoluteness of Jesus Christ as savior.”

This is not a reinforcement of Francis, but rather a denouncement. The Archbishop's words overshadowed those of Francis and would NOT have been widely noted in the press IF the Archbishop had not been at the gathering

(3) that being said, I've no doubt you are a concerned child of Mother Church.

The passion of the Church continues but the glorious resurrection is not far away. Woe to the current enemies both inside and outside of Holy Mother the Church! The reign of Mary will be glorious.

Still courteous indirect critique within realms of legitimate religious correctness.

Archbishop Schneider and Cardinal Mueller, present themselves as the “good guys”, but the truth is that they are every much a part of the problem. Both of these men support Vatican II. Yes, they say that since they only support the “lite” version, the one which they claim can be “interpreted” in the “right” way, they’re really on the side of God. That is utter nonsense. There is no “lite” or right version of evil. And if one is unable to recognize that the Second Vatican Council is evil in the extreme then they are either spiritually blind or spiritually compromised.

The only prelate who has had the insight and courage to acknowledge his past errors of supporting the Council and has now come out clearly in condemnation of it has been Archbishop Vigano. But the world can see where that got him. He’s now forced to stay in hiding just to survive. Certainly the so-called “conservative” bishops like Schneider, Mueller, Burke, Cordileone, etc. see where that got him as well, so they carefully keep their heads down lest they draw too much negative attention.

Yes, Francis is a Modernist of the first order, and is certainly the worst one in the line of post-Conciliar Modernist popes since the Council. But if one believes that Francis and his cronies are the heart of the problem then they’ve missed an important part of this story. Francis will be gone relatively soon, and his replacement will likely be as bad if not far worse. So unless and until many of the prelates can muster up the spiritual courage to come out in opposition to Vatican II, the Church (and many souls) will continuing spiraling downward.
