With all due respect to the compassionate, and generally very wise and learned Bishop Schneider, other than with the exception of Dante, it is likely imprudent to speculate on Bergoglio's afterlife. Let us pray for his soul and leave it to the Lord he was supposed to serve while in office.

I don't know where the conclusion about purgatory comes from. From what we've seen, it's much more logical to assume he's in the deepest part of hell.
