Sadly, many NO priest feel they must entertain and many parishioners demand it.

It’s an unsolvable problem, as long as the priest is facing the people while praying to God. The solution is to celebrate the traditional way. It is too great a temptation to many priests to become showmen. Others end up developing affected “prayer voices” that are rather off putting. The only solution that can’t be considered is the only one that can work.
