Fiji’s men’s rugby team raised their powerful voices to God and sang the religious hymn E Da Sa Qaga after winning Olympic gold. This is the text:
We have overcome
We have overcome
By the Blood of the Lamb
In the Word of the Lord
We have overcome
Captain Jerry Tuwai said that the team always starts and ends training with prayers and songs. He explained that E Da Sa Qaga "says that our God is a loving God, and that while we always tend to go stray from what he expects from us, he still loves us, and gives us good things.” Fiji earned its Olympic gold after defeating New Zealand 27-12.

A pious and brave man. These days, it's only a matter of time before the Olympic Committee starts revoking medals for displays of Catholic faith. When they "change the rules", remember I predicted that day would come. You heard it here first.

No "girls" here. Rugby is hard-core and sissies get trampled.

The short one I have doubts about.:D :D :D Not that I'm saying anything within a rugby player's hearing. Pride prevents me from explaining how such wisdom was acquired. ;-)
