• The average age of the Cardinals is 78.2 years (electors: 72.3).
• The average tenure of current cardinals is 11.2 years (electors: 8.0)
• The youngest cardinals are Marengo (48,2 Ulaanbaatar), Carmo da Silva (54.73 Díli), and Cezar Costa (55.08 Brasília)
• Do Nascimento (97,5 Luanda) is the oldest cardinal.
• Since Vatican II, there has been an inflation of cardinals (below).
