New “Saints”: How Much Did They Pay?

The costs for beatifications and canonisations – “this world so full of illusions and interests” (Specola) - have skyrocketed, writes IlMessaggero.it.

Some cases have cost over €750,000. The old suspicion is that in the Vatican money helps the saints into heaven.

Now, Francis has published some regulations. The postulator, that is, the person who collects materials, documents, and writes the Positio (the biography that attests to the holy life of a candidate) has the right to by paid proportionate to the work carried out. For the rest, "transparency" is the order of the day - whatever that means in the Francis Church.

Under Francis, almost a thousand candidates have been “canonised” or “beatified.”

Perhaps not a fraud! But designed to be used to detract from Our Lady Of Fatima's message, bolster JPII's ratings, and change the liturgical calendar and confuse people. That is why the church did not approve it. See also! traditioninaction.org/HotTopics/f072_DivMercy.htm

Why confused? The Holy Office judged it but Wojtyla wanted his new Easter devotion superimposed on traditional feasts. A similiar thing was with certain Fr. Rosmini - JPII praised him in Fides et Ratio forcing Fr. Ratzinger to uncondemn his propositions in miserable style typical for the post-conciliar mess.

Jeffrey Ade V.R.S. You must be both SSPX or some other schismatics. Cannot see the truth, cannot see your blindness. Anyway if you are SPPX, etc., you are not a part of the church. Your opinion is worthless.

가입을 원합니다 Saint Faustina's Divine Mercy Devotion is true, do not worry about it. Believe the pope and miracles, and countless people having devotion to Divine Mercy. I attend Latin Mass (FSSP) - priests have no problem with St Faustina whatsoever.

The video proves nothing if you look at the face reconstructed from the Shroud (e.g. pinimg.com/…nals/d8/b7/d6/d8b7d6c0551d2cdace33c836b8c16b3a.jpg ) and the painting of Kazimirowski - they are different.
2. Sr. Faustyna noted in her Diary no dimensions of the painting - so most probably she considered them irrelevant.
3. There is of course possibility that Kazimirowski who painted the picture in 1934 modelled it on the Shroud of Turin. The Shroud became in the 1930's popular in Poland due to its public exposition and the work of K. Proszynski "Niesłychane odkrycie naukowe. Prawdziwa fotografja Pana Jezusa i ślady całej męki Jego na całunie" published in 1932 (published in English, in London, in 1933 under the title: The authentic „Photograph” of Christ).
4. Fourth, referring to the superimposition of pictures - the Divine Mercy cult in fact superimposed the work of Kazimirowski approved by sr. Faustyna with the later, completely different painting by A. Hyla. The above shows that the cultists have not treated the alleged revelations seriously.
May God bless you, too.

No schism in the Church has been based on the judgement relating to the private revelation. I am not even obliged to believe in Fatima apparitions (personally I believe in Fatima because of the Miracle of the Sun) and such unbelief does not make me a schismatic.

Fortunately, it is not for you to decide who is a part of the Church and who is not.

1. I do not have a sindonological publication, I did mention that in my initial comment, and to the best of my knowledge one has never been done as of yet, but you need to keep in mind that the History Channel documentary you're referring to in your link, never claimed their results were definitive, right in the body of the documentary they repeat several times "could this be the face of Jesus?" In fact, the Church has never ruled that the Shroud of Turin was definitely the shroud of Christ, they have left that open to the faithful because there is a biblical issue that there was a piece of cloth placed over Christ's face which was found by the women who entered, to be folded up and placed aside.

Also, Christ works with us in our cultural differences, and even in our personal interpretations, not against us, and HE isn't required to appear exactly the same to every individual. In fact, Christ appears as He sees fit and to what He feels is the perfect image for the revelation and its purpose. In Our Lady's approved apparitions, Mary has appeared different to many seers (Our Lady of Guadeloupe) and under different titles, and she is portrayed differently in many icons such as The Black Madonna of Częstochowa vs Our Lady The Eternal which is a Russian Icon. None of these detract from each other so why should a slightly different portrayal of Christ detract from the image of the Sacred Heart?

2&3 Logically, wouldn't the dimensions of the painting be more important to St. Faustina as she conveyed the vision to the painter, rather than something to be placed in a spiritual diary? And if you feel that is a significant issue, than most certainly she would have mentioned that the painting was including partial imagining from the shroud, which is even more of an issue, since the shroud would reinforce her apparitions because of its popularity. This, however, was never expressed anywhere in the diary, in fact, historical fact states that the painting was done in the presence of St. Faustina and exactly to her specifications as remembered from her vision. The shroud was never even implied anywhere.

4. You have it wrong. The image superimposed was the image by Kazimirowski, the original image, which was an photographic overlay on the shroud. The 1943 rendition by A. Hyla was never involved in the process. Here are the two painting side by side:

faustina-message.com/obraz_krakow_ang.htm

So they were quite serious in how they treated the revelations.

Finally, you didn't address the countless conversions and several miracles attributed to the both her diary and the image as well as the Chaplet. However, as you claim in another comment, private revelations such as these are to be left up to the discernment of the faithful which I completely respect. What bothers me is when others begin claiming "fraud" instead of "nonrecognition". You do, however, have good points which I mentioned in my initial comment. JPII did some worrisome things which hopefully might be explained someday. I have nothing further, however, I will read and consider your response if you choose to do so but I will not respond in turn. If not, stay safe.
