Lent: Priests Burn Harry Potter And Other Useless Stuff

Priests in Gdansk, Poland, burned useless books including exemplars of Joanne Rowling's novel Harry Potter as well as pagan statues like a Hindu religious figurine.

The burning took place after March 31 Laetare Sunday Mass, the local bishop confirmed to AFP.

The objects burned were brought by parishioners to be disposed off during Lent in order to focus on important things.
