The retired Anglican lay bishop Richard Pain, 66, of Monmouth will become a Catholic on July 2, the English bishops have announced (Cbcew.org.uk, June 12). He retired in 2019, and is the first Anglican bishop from Wales to join the Anglo-Catholic Ordinariate Our Lady of Walsingham, established in 2011. He is a father of two. Other recently converted Anglican bishops are Michael Nazir-Ali, Jonathan Goodall and Peter Forster.

After the Anglicans' grave assault at the Cathedral of the Pope, St. John Lateran, Rome!? Now they feel they can just 'turn' Catholic, after all, the man dressed in white, at the Vatican (or in hospital) doesn't really care, which people obeyed the Lord's Church and those that declared 'schism' against it. I don't know this man's intentions; but the proverb: "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" comes to mind.
