U.S. Lawmakers Have Yet to Agree on Next Round of COVID-19 Aid | EWTN News Nightly

With time running out for U.S. lawmakers to pass more COVID-19 aid, leaders on both sides say they want action, and they want it soon. Both parties say they know the pandemic is wearing out many people who are struggling to get by. Manager of the John Crouch Tobacco Shop in Old Town Alexandria, John Pann says they have kept their doors open during the pandemic thanks to the aid provided by the "payment protection program." Pann says, "What I'd like to see is the federal government step in and try and help every business owner, small business owners especially." House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer says he wants a relief bill passed by December 10th, but the parties have yet to agree on what the next round of COVID funding should cover.
