Father Raymond Blake criticises on Twitter (August 3) Pope Francis' new paragraph in the Catechism of the Catholic Church which wrongly states that "the Church teaches" that death penalty is inadmissible.
Blake points out this is "historically, factually not true".
Common sense, the Bible, the entire Catholic theology including St Thomas teach that death penalty as such is just and licit.
Father Blake is not a proponent of death penalty legislation.

God prescribes the death penalty in Scripture. Therefore, it is not inherently immoral. As a Christian, you MUST accept this. You don't have a choice. We can talk about when the death penalty should be used, but the fact that it is, in principle, moral, is not up for discussion.twitter.com/…/102517929386808…

www.catholiceducation.org/…/catholicism-amp…. At no point, however, does Jesus deny that the State has authority to exact capital punishment. In his debates with the Pharisees, Jesus cites with approval the apparently harsh commandment, "He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him surely die" (Matthew 15:4; Mark 7:10, referring to Exodus 2l:17; cf. Leviticus 20:9).

If Francis really is claiming that capital punishment is intrinsically evil, then either scripture, the Fathers & Doctors of the Church, & all previous popes were wrong—or Francis is. There is no third alternative

Fr Blake, it is not wrong that you have spoken out. Remember that during the Reformation only a handful stayed faithful to the true Christ & they are the ones whom we venerate as Saints and Martyrs.

As Our Lord warned us through Blessed Anne Emmerich, Marie Julie Jahenny, Blessed Elena Aiello and many others, we are now facing the final battle, it is the continuance of that same diabolical destruction of the Holy Bride of Christ called the Reformation, only this time the enemy has entered our ranks and attacks Christ's Church from within.

This is excellent - It documents the warnings given to us by the Saints www.youtube.com/watch

China does so many executions they've got execution vans to take up the slack. One wonders if Jorge considered that his bestest buddies wouldn't like it much...
