ChurchMilitant: Rorate Caeli Run By Washington Lobbyist

Paulitz who is the head of strategic initiatives at the Financial Services Institute (FSI), a lobbyist business in Washington DC, denied the claim. According to his online biography, Paulitz is a “veteran of Capitol Hill, spending more than a decade in presidential and congressional campaigns, working as a spokesman and strategic advisor for both U.S. House and Senate leadership offices, the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee and the Bush administration.”
According to Gomez, Paulitz was communications director for former U.S. representative Mark Foley, who resigned from Congress in 2006 after sending sexually explicit messages to a congressional pages, a young male teenager. Gomez smugly adds that Paulitz is living in a house valued over $1 million.
Rorate-Caeli.blogspot.com is a well informed Roman Rite website. It was a great support for Benedict’s 2007 Summorum Pontificum. It is supportive of the Fraternity of St Peter and open to the Society PiusX. An enemy of paid Catholic journalism, it called several times on Catholics NOT to donate to Catholic media enterprises but rather to monasteries. Unlike many Catholic sites such as LifeSiteNews.com, Rorate Caeli doesn't oppose Covid-injections but furiously attacks Archbishop Viganò and the Russian war in the Ukraine.
Paulitz called Gomez on Saturday after learning his role was being investigated, categorically denying that he was running Rorate-Caeli.blogspot.com, "I don't tweet. I don't post."
Minutes later, Rorate-Caeli.Blogspot responded to a ChurchMilitant.com inquiry using the same phrases: “I'm not Chris Paulitz. He doesn't tweet, and he doesn't post. That's all you need to know.”
However, in July 2010, Paulitz was the official US contributor to Rorate Caeli and its Twitter Account was then officially run by him. In 2011, Paulitz signed a statement published by RemnantNewspaper.com and sent to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints regarding the beatification of John Paul II. The signature called Paulitz "Contributor, Rorate Caeli."
Although this evidence would hardly stand up in court, Gomez is categoric writing that Rorate-Caeli.blogspot.com “is” Paulitz and accusing him of denying despite being outed.
This leads to the question who is informing Gomez and why? Gomez uncovered recently that a sub business of Aleteia.org about "fact checking" [= defending Covid injections] is sponsored by Google.com. Having access to information about money transfers is easily no problem for banks, justice officers and secret services but not for random ChurchMilitant.com journalists. Has Gomez information from higher up?
Further, Gomez’ article against Rorate-Caeli.Blogspot also attacks anonymous Catholic websites such as the courageous Irish CatholicArena.com. Cui bonum?
In the meantime, Father Kevin Cusick (APriestLife.Blogspot.com) refuted Gomez' claim: “I know enough to know that Chris Paulitz is not the blogger ‘New Catholic’ at blog Rorate Caeli. I’ve interacted with both Chris Paulitz and Rorate Caeli on a personal level for years both as author on the site and as subject of blog posts. You can take my word for it. Or not.“
Conclusion: Traditional Catholics are tearing each other apart. This is done with information of which nobody questions where it comes from and why. Another strange example for this was Italian historian Roberto De Mattei accusing Archbishop Viganò of having a homosexual ghostwriter. All against all? Again: Cui bonum? To whom is it a benefit? Then answer: to the enemy.
