I don’t think Americans have an appreciation of this, since the Masons are seen as a social club, and not much more. My grandfather had a big collection of commemorative highball glasses, several of which were from joint gatherings of the KofC with the local lodge of Masons, back in the ‘70s. Absolutely fantastic post. Very revealing and informative. Will be getting this book. As an aside, Archbishop Lefebvre was intimately aware this was going on in Rome. All his actions were completely justified both canonically and morally. He will be vindicated and canonized for having stood against the systematic deconstruction of the Catholic Church's liturgy and teachings by God's enemies within.
