Rich and poor
September 25, 2022, 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear brothers and sisters, Jesus, through the parable of the rich selfish and poor Lazarus that we’re going to listen to in the passage from Luke's Gospel on Sunday September 24, does not want to scare us, but tries once again to make us understand how precious, and therefore serious, it is our life on earth. At the same time, it’s clearly shown how dangerous it is to fall into the diabolical temptation to think of being able to make fun of God. In fact, already from this life, but above all in the hereafter, everyone will reap what he has sown: who, in this world, lives sowing in selfishness will reap sadness, isolation and eternal failure, whoever sows in love will reap life, peace and eternal joy.
