Francis has created clear fronts between those who are for us and those who are against us, New York historian John Rao told Gloria.tv at Italy's Roman Forum (video below).
For Rao, creating this clarity is the only good thing about Francis. Otherwise, he says, this "is the absolute worst pontificate in the history of the Catholic Church - there's nothing to compare it to." Rao calls Francis and his tenure "an absolute disaster".
He explains that previous popes, who were bad because of their moral behaviour, would not have dreamed of "changing" doctrine, while now there are bishops who call this pontificate "the reign of pure arbitrariness".
Francis has done more than anyone else to destroy the authority of Peter and has replaced it with "a personal despotism that has absolutely no limits" while ignoring canon law.

For all his scholarship you would think Dr. Rao would know that while they can be immoral bad popes, there cannot be a heretical pope.

The sooner hierarchy take up Archbishop Vigano's challenge to investigate Francis being anti-pope the better for all Churchmen and laymen unwilling to admit what role really Cardinal Bergoglio plays in the light of pope Benedict's XVI existence. Just from the stats alone, Pope Francis' pontificate is a disaster. But of course the crisis of the Church since Vatican II, and deepened under nearly ten years of Bergoglio's despotic reign goes deeper. Only in the SSPX, various sede-vacantist groups, and all the Roman Rite Orders, monasteries, and communities and the millions attached to them is the Catholic Faith preserved.

But of course the crisis of the Church since Vatican II, and deepened under nearly ten years of Bergoglio's despotic reign goes deeper. Only in the SSPX, various sede-vacantist groups, and all the Roman Rite Orders, monasteries, and communities and the millions attached to them is the Catholic Faith preserved.
I have read that even in Rome itself, Francis is very much hated, and despised by many priests-especially young ones. Seminaries are being eptied around the world, because good young men will not serve under a Pope and an administration like Francis. That leaves only very aged priests, and handfuls of radical seminarians (literally only handfulls) to carry on the "dream" of Vatican II and Francis.
I do know that among young Catholics, those who know of Vatican II hate it. So Francis will get no support from them.
A perfect example of the Catholic Church in the USA and around the world is my Philadelphia Archdiocese. There were 4 large, flourishing Orders of teaching sisters in the archdiocese pre-1962 with packed "motherhouses" filled with 120+ novices and postulants each. Today, they are empty tombs with a ghostly community of 80-90 year old layclothes sisters still clinging to the late 1960's early 1970's generation of the Church. Our archdiosecean seminary which in the days pre-1965 had close to 600 seminarians, today has less than 130 and in fact is sold to 'Main Line Health". a giant healthcare corporation in the Philadelphia area, and the seminary will close in 2024.
Two parishes near me reflect the situation after Vatican II. The "Novus Ordo" parish had, pre-Vatican II 5 Masses, each one packed. Today, it has only 2 Masses, both poorly attended. A Church afew blocks away which uses the "Roman Rite"- Latin Mass has 1 Mass, but it is packed. One could even think it's back in the 1950's there's so many people (mostly young, some middle aged) attending.
The papacy and Vatican of Pope Francis IS the worst the Church has ever seen. I hope Dr. Rao's speech and conclusions are available in print form, covered by media, and spread all throughout Rome, Italy, Europe and the world to expose Francis and his Vatican for what it is.

No argument there (and history has given Francis some stiff competition!) The perverse irony is that PF's saint namesake, if he was alive today, would likely have walked to Rome to change the current direction the Church is taking!

@Tony M Good obsveration! I also think he is simply the "face" of the evil synogouge of satan that is destoying souls in our Church. They may get the chaff, they may get the goats, let's you and I be sheep in the Lord's Pasture! Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!
