Again: Francis Is Protecting a Convicted Abuser

Francis personally blocked an excommunication of Father Marko Rupnik, a famous Jesuit artist who is accused by several (!) consecrated women of sexual assault and psychological abuse, MessaInLatino.it reports citing “high-level sources.”

Earlier this year, a canonical trial convicted Rupnik for absolving in confession an adult and consenting female sexual accomplice. The verdict was unanimous and the punishment was excommunication.

But a few hours after the sentence was announced, Francis lifted the excommunication at Rupnik's request. The Company of Jesus had already prepared a statement on the matter but was stopped.

The Jesuit Procurator General described another sexual relationship, dating back to the 1990s, with a consenting woman which was not part of the trial, as “gruesome.” He asked for a trial but Francis prevented it. On November 30, Rupnik received an honorary degree by the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná, Brazil (pictured).

The Jesuits said in a December 2 statement that they have barred Rupnik from hearing confessions or conducting spiritual direction.

Already in Argentina, Francis was known for protecting abusers if the abuser belonged to his clerical faction. Since hie is on Rome, he protected Bishop Zanchetta and Father Inzoli, among others.

Since the oligarch media uses sexual assaults in the church for political purposes, Francis, who is their ally, does not have to fear them.

I would caution anyone from accusing the RC Church of being "worthless", not because I am not sickened, like you, over the godless antics of Francis, such as the episode described above, but because it would confuse the acts of these scoundrels with the majority of faithful and orthodox Catholics who are the real Church as founded by Christ. Many of these are standing up for the Church in the manner of Christ rather than Barabbas and are quietly but diligently doing what they must to preserve and protect the apostolic deposit of the Faith for the future. I totally agree with you that our faith leaders could be much more public and vocal in their condemnations of what is happening. They have nothing to lose but their 'titles', and eternity to gain, if they do so.

Very good point. I am so accustomed to Francis being nothing but a heretic. But I am also totally disgusted by the lack of outrage from Cardinals and Bishops against him. To be honest, I was proud of the USA bishops in their USCCB meetings this years, electing a fairly orthodox and good Bishop, Archbishop Broglio, as new USCCB President for the next 3+ years, rather than for the heretic progressive Etienne who had been earmarked as Francis' preferred choice. Most of the bishops, even some appointed by Francis, voted against his candidate. That is one hopeful sign. Another is growing numbers of priests, especially the young, basically giving a raise fist of defiance to Francis, and going ahead and celebrating the Latin Roman Rite, sometimes with the encouragement of their own Bishop.
If you ever watch the General Audiences from Rome every Wednesday, fewer and fewer are coming out to hear Francis. Hopefully in the Winter months, it goes down alot more. He deserves it.

The Roman Catholic Church is worthless. If it were still a Church, good Cardinals and Bishops would stand up to this filth Francis and throw him out of office, and all his associates as well. And I don't mean 3-4 Cardinals or Bishops....I mean hundreds rising up against him.
The only places were the true CAtholic Church exists is in the ICRSP,FSSP,SSPX, CMRI(sedevacantist), and other sedevacantist (so called schismatic) traditionalist Catholic groups. There is even afew Catholic towns in Mexico, where only the Roman Rite is used....they have their own monasteries, convents, a seminary, seevral dozen priests, 200+ nuns, and the people love them and continue with the True Faith......and could not care less about a corrupt Vatican II Bishop in their area, cardinals, or scum Vatican II Pope and Vatican. Until the Vatican and Church is restored to tradition, that is the way it should be. Not bishops,cardinals and priests and laity sayiing "Yes Holy Father, we love you, Holy Father, whatever you say, Holy Father Francis". UGH!
