Francis Angry at Italian Bishops

Francis is annoyed about the resistance of Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti, 78, the president of the Italian Bishops, to organising an Italian Synod which Francis desires.

Outwardly, the Italian Bishops are subservient to Francis, and the mediocre Bassetti is Francis’ creation.

However, on December 6, talking to the Jesuits of the magazine “Aggiornamenti Sociali,” Francis lashed out at him.

He referred to some writing of the leftwing Jesuit Bartolomeo Sorge “that made tremble, I do not say Italian politics, but certainly at least the Italian Church.”

Nobody understood what Francis meant until his spindoctor, Father Antonio Spadaro, tweeted that he referred to an article of Sorge that pushes for an Italian Synod.

Sandro Magister (December 11) writes that as a result Bassetti’s presidency is now in danger, and that the leftwing Bologna Cardinal Matteo Zuppi could replace him.

Francis' entire papacy is one "synod" after another. Instead of one big Vatican Council II, he's destroying things through a series of little ones.

If only the problem were only Pope Francis. Sadly, it is far worse than one, unfaithful man. Virtually every bishop and many many priests have been infected with the Modernist heresy promoted during the Second Vatican Council.
We will not conquer this diabolic scourge by removing this one man, or even by removing the scores of cardinals and bishops who are leading this heresy. Those men will only be replaced by similarly flawed characters who would likely be even worse.
The only chance for the Church at this time in history is for the faithful priests and laity to return to all of the true teachings of the Church that were extant prior to the Council. Today, those teachings are rare, but can be found in the chapels of the SSPX.

I disagree,
If our good lord decides to put in a radical young catholic pope, the current state of the church will change within one year tops. This new pope will over night mandate new rules. For example, boycotting the new rite mass across the entire world and a 6 month period to dismantling the Vatican 2 council.. I radical catholic pope can and will do this...
