USA and European Union Want Exception to Criminalisation of Child Pornography

The United States and the European Union are calling for exceptions to the criminalisation of child pornography in a draft United Nations treaty 'against cybercrime'.
They want child pornography that does not involve a 'real child', is generated by artificial intelligence or is created as part of a 'consensual relationship' and stored for 'private use' not to be prosecuted by governments.
This version of the treaty will come into force in the coming months if the majority of countries present at the UN General Assembly continue to support it.
Delegates from Africa called for a vote to remove these exceptions, arguing that they were being exploited to harm children and promote paedophilia.
Fifty-one countries joined critical voices to remove the provisions.

You can thank Islamization for a big chunk of that. Islam, the religion of sodomy and other sexual perversions…

The sodomy is unspeakable.

They only want exceptions because they are pedophiles

keep reading; if it is part of a 'consensual' relationship (children are not capable of giving consent to a sexual relationship), or if it is stored for private use - do child trafickers and others involved in child sexual abuse produce films, and are they considered 'private'?

combat real pornography ARE squandered

Actually, the exception sounds reasonable. Should a sketch pad doodle of a naked youth be subject to the same prosecution as photos of a young girl coerced to pose? How are we goingg to determine the age of an image that does not represent a "real child." Are all those Baroque images of a naked Christ child to be reclassified as pornography? (Try googling "paintings of jesus christ as a nude baby" should bring up a site that has catalogued 185 paintings of Christ as a nude baby, including a few of Mary breastfeeding him. Are these to be classified as child pornography?
Not establishing these exceptions is the best way to ensure that resources that should be available to combat real pornography are not squandered in court battles over classical paintings, hand-drawn images and family "baby on a rug" photos.

According to the "safe environment" training our diocese requires of all employees & volunteers, child p*rnograpghy is an outmoded term and one should say instead: CSAM - Child Sexual Abuse Materials. The definition is very broad and can be used to get prosecution - if desired by authorities. Also it's to 'de-stigmatize' p*rn as some want it to be considered an art form.
