While he had no problems to kneel in front of ten prisoners washing their feet on Holy Thursday, Francis famous sciatica seems to come and go according to convenience. It has happily returned for the Easter vigil Eucharist.
Francis only attended the service without presiding it. Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, 88, replaced the 85-year-old Francis who sat on the right side just in front of the people. Vatican TV avoided showing how Francis climbed the steps to the high altar. Everybody was wearing big white masks which were looking like coffee filters.
On Good Friday, Francis, was well enough to walk the entire aisle both at the start and the end but made not prostration at the beginning of the service.

'Pope' Francis. imposter as he is, does not appear to be kneeling in this video. The people who's feet he washes seem to be up on some kind of podium or platform.

He looked sick at the Roman Colliseum for the weird Good Friday Stations as well, slumped in a chair zombie-like. He had a few good coughing fits that were caught on TV. Yesterday, at the Easter Vigil he hat slumped as usuall, head down. He looked sick. But then he had enough energy to give his homily where he , as usuall, made afew insulting comments towards Catholic tradition. He also baptised 7 people. It would be great if he did not celebrate the big Easter Mass, but left it to someone else. Also (I hope I am wrong), but look for Bergoglio to NOT to the traditional Urbi et Orbi blessing, but just do the short "Pater,et Filio et Spiritu Sancto" blessing.
When I saw him slumping in the chair on Good Friday night, and yesterday, I kept thinking....by some miracle, I hope this time next year we have a new, CATHOLIC pope.

Francis said that Jesus has “entered the tomb of our sin” and restored us to life.

This is the first time since 2005 that the pope doesn't preside over the Easter Vigil in St. Peter's Basilica. In 2005, Pope John Paul II was already hospitalized: it was March 26. He died April 2. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (today Pope emeritus Benedict XVI) celebrated that time.

The darkness of night, Pope Francis said at the Vatican’s Easter Vigil, symbolizes "the darkness of war, of cruelty."
