Cardinal Bergoglio With Chasuble and Lace

Buenos Aires Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio delivered a homily during Eucharist at the Basilica of San Lorenzo Fuori le Mura in Rome on 18 February 2012 dressed in Roman chasuble and lace.

Only ten years later, during a June 9 audience with clerics from Sicily, he polemicised against lace in the liturgy.

In 2012, however, Bergoglio still needed the lace in order to maintain a neo-conservative image and not damage his career planning.

If Pope Benny had only stayed as Pope 4 more years, and then resigned, Bergoglio would have been past 80, and not in the conclave of 2013 for a new Pope.

Nonsense. It was rigged and planned by the "St.Gallen Mafia" to elect Bergoglio. They tried in 2005 and failed. Pope Benny was stupid /weak enough to resign (or was pressured to), and now were stuck with our first non-Catholic pope.
