The “door” of desire!

The “door” of desire! Gospel of Sunday November 8 XXXII of O.T. Dear brothers and sisters, Jesus, with the passage from the Gospel of Matthew which we will listen to on Sunday, November 8, tells us the parable of the virgins, some foolish and some wise, invited to the wedding. Jesus through this parable invites us, on one hand, to free the boundless desire that we feel in the bottom of our hearts, to taking part in the feast that God the Father, rich in mercy, has prepared for us from eternity. On the other hand, underling the foolishness of some of the virgins that forgot to take oil with them, Jesus warn us about the danger we could run of destroying with the arrogance of our ideologies, fashions and slogans, the beauty of God's design He came to reveal, about man. That's why in order not to "lose" this extraordinary feast of the victory of love over hatred, of light over darkness, of life over death, Jesus implores us to keep our lamps burning, that is: we have to fight and overcome, with His help, our selfishness, in order to keep and increase the purity of God's Love that has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that was given to us.
