and saw the stone removed from the tomb.
So she ran and went to Simon Peter
and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them, "They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don't know where they put him." So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb. They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first; he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in. When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there, and the cloth that had covered his head, not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place. A Blessed Feast of the Resurrection of the LORD JESUS CHRIST!
"Now that Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.
We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.
Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.
But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruit of those who have fallen asleep.
For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruit, then at His coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when He delivers the Kingdom to God the Father, after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all his enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For God has put all things in subjection under His feet.

The Resurrection
When the Sabbath was over, early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to the disciples and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have put Him!”
Then Simon Peter and the other disciple set out for the tomb. The two were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent down and looked in at the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in.
Simon Peter arrived just after him. He entered the tomb and saw the linen cloths lying there. Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in. And he saw and believed. For they still did not understand from the Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.
Then the disciples returned to their homes.
But Mary stood outside the tomb weeping. And as she wept, she bent down to look into the tomb, and she saw two angels in white sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and the other at the feet.
"Woman, why are you weeping?" they asked.
"Because they have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I do not know where they have put Him."
When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not recognize that it was Jesus.
"Woman, why are you weeping?" Jesus asked. "Whom are you seeking?"
Thinking He was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried Him off, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him."
Jesus said to her, "Mary!"
She turned and said to Him in Aramaic, "Rabbuni!"
"Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. Go and tell my brothers and say to them that I ascend to my Father and your Father, my God, and your God."
Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples,"I have seen the LORD!" And she told them what He had said to her. John 20,1-18
