As we had anticipated, the dismissal of the secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Bishop Giacomo Morandi, would be confirmed, probably for defending the correct doctrine.
The Prelate, our sources confirm at the top, would be the new Archbishop - Bishop of the Diocese of Reggio Emilia - Guastalla (who is not an archbishopric).
Based on what we have learned, the appointment should be published in the Bulletin of the Vatican Press Office starting next week.
The new Secretary, who would replace Bishop Morandi, would be Bishop Charles Scicluna (here), current Archbishop of Malta and Deputy Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
