Sister Gloria Isn’t Doing Well

Sister Gloria Narváez could not escape from her captivity along with other kidnapped people due to her precarious health conditions, Sister Aylem Yela Romo, the superior of the Franciscan Sister or Mary Immaculate told a Columbian radio station.

The Sister couldn’t take the risk of fleeing through the desert with temperatures of 40 degrees in the shade. She was kidnapped in February 2017 by a Muslim group in Mali.

Her community believes she is held in the huge desert between Burkina Faso and Benin where Islamic fighters force her to work as a nurse.
