The coronavirus is a "punishment” for the Pachamama worship practiced in the Catholic Church, Filipino Father Edgardo “Bing” Arellano explained in a March 19 homily (video sequence below). Arellano is a canon lawyer, exorcist, and former EWTN host.
Referring to Exodus 20, he added that disobeying the First Commandment and worshipping idols like Pachamama results in plagues which are "a punishment because of our violation against the first commandment, which forbids idolatry.”
He believes that “we are in the end times,” characterised by a loss of faith, and increased diabolical activities

One small problem with this plague being a punishment for Pachamama idolatry. This plague didn't come from Pachamama's home country. It came from a country that is atheist and suppresses all religious worship.

The Idol worship of Pachamama happened in the Vatican, under the watchful eyes of our pope as well as many bishops. More priests have died of the virus in Italy. Add to this Francis refuses to acknowledge the atrocities happening in China, along with the pleas from Cardinal Zen. This is indeed a chastisement.

This is why I, personally, get very skittish trying to see the hand of God in "chastisements" and such. Entirely too many good and devout people seem to be "chastised" while the evil-doers are walking around without a scratch.
