Gloria.tv Needs Your Help - An Urgent Appeal

Dear friends

Gloria.tv desperately needs your financial help. Considering the rising costs for all of us - in 2022 we had to spend about €50,000 on data centres, servers, energy and similar resources - we try to keep our budgets as small as possible.

If you enjoy the daily updates, entertainment, news and religious content, please consider making a donation this Lent.

Gloria.tv is an apostolate and not a business - we have little understanding of finance, but all the more of Catholicism combined with excellent skills in software and technology. Gloria.tv's software is the result of 15 years of round-the-clock programming and is state of the art.

Financing any project from just some donations is absolutely unrealistic. If anything, "donations" can only be a supplementary and incidental, but not the main source of financial income aimed at "feeding", i.e. financing the whole project. Only commercial advertising can be the main source of financial income. There are, of course, several ways of implementing the publication of commercial advertising, one of which is, for example, the way YOUTUBE.COM itself does it, which despite its mammoth size is not able to support itself with mere "donations", and also YOUTUBE.COM itself lives mainly thanks to its sales of commercial advertising.

What is truly unrealistic is that an organization like gloria.tv would operate without paying salaries, and yet it does. If a tiny fraction of visitors to this site donated only this month's impulse coffee-to-go they would have more than they need.

Hi richard, a bank transfer is not a platform, you just go to your bank or financial institution, and you ask the clerk to make a transfer to IBAN AT67 6000 0102 1003 6488 | BIC BAWAATWW and voilà!
