Today we celebrate the feast of St. Pio of Pietrelcina (Sept 23), aka Padre Pio, a most extraordinary saint! A Capuchin priest, he suffered - as a "stigmatist" - for fifty years (1918-1968). In that time he heard over a million confessions, and wrote thousands of letters. St. Padre Pio, pray for us!
