Litany for a good death

Here is a Prayer in the form of a litany for a good death "Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me" composed by a Protestant lady converted to the Catholic Religion, at the age of fifteen, died at eighteen, in the smell of holiness.

The Litany for a Good Death "Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me":

Jesus my Lord, God of Goodness, Father of Mercy, I come before You with a humiliated, contrite and repentant heart. I recommend my last hour and what should follow it.

When my motionless feet warn me that my race in this world is about to end: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When my hands, trembling and numb, can no longer hold the Crucifix against my heart, and in spite of me, they will let Him fall on my bed of sorrows: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When my eyes, veiled and troubled by the terror of imminent death, look to You uncertain and dying: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When my lips, cold and trembling, pronounce for the last time Your adorable Name: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When my cheeks, pale and livid, inspire compassion and terror in the assistants, and my hair, bathed in the sweats of death rising on my head, announces my imminent end: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When my ears, close to closing forever to the speeches of men, open to hear your Voice, which will pronounce the irrevocable sentence by which my fate will be fixed for all eternity: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When my imagination, stirred by horrible and frightening ghosts, will be plunged into mortal sadness; that my spirit, troubled by the memory of my iniquities and by the fear of your Righteousness, will fight against the angel of darkness, who would like to rob me of the consoling sight of your Mercies, and throw me into despair: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When my faint heart, oppressed by the pain of sickness, will be seized with the horrors of death, and exhausted from the efforts it has made against the enemies of my salvation: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When I shed my last tears before exhaling, receive them as a sacrifice of atonement, that I may die as a victim of penance, and in this terrible moment: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When my parents and friends, gathered around me, soften on my painful fate, and invoke You on my behalf: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When I have lost the use of all the senses, when the whole world has disappeared for me, and when I groan in the anxieties of the last agony and the work of death: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When the last sighs of my heart will urge my soul to come out of my body, accept them as coming from a holy impatience to come to You: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

When my soul, on the edge of my lips, will come out of this world forever, and leave my body pale, icy and lifeless, accept my death as a tribute that I come to pay to your Majesty: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

Finally, when my soul appears before You, and sees for the first time the immortal Splendor of your Majesty, do not reject it from your Face, but deign to receive me in the womb of your Mercies, so that I may eternally sing Your praises: Merciful Jesus, have mercy on me.

This will be the case.
