Argentina: Archbishop Deplores Devastating Francis Effect

Catholicism in Argentina “is in full retreat,” former La Plata Archbishop Hector Aguer writes on InfoCatolica.com (March 2). Here his assessment:

• many churches are depopulated,
• the liturgy has “fallen into banality if not worse,”
• seminaries half-empty,
• religious houses decimated,
• decrease in the number of marriages and baptisms,
• there is no widespread Catholic youth movement,
• the bishops submit to the “New World Order” and the “money imperialism”

In some dioceses, there are still some “very active people” which Aguer calls “small groups," stuck with a devastated liturgy, “The lack of precision, solemnity and beauty in the Mass makes quite a few people wish for all that Traditiones custodes has set aside.”

Auger cannot understand that the bishops are anxious to adhere to the Francis party line, “This orientation has nothing to do with reality.”

It is all stems from Vatican 2, a pigsty for Modernists. Roncalli, Montini (whom some hold was a flagrant gay) and Woytyla-- all made "saints."
Dr Bobus
Who holds that Montini was a homosexual?

Even with all the devastation wrought by Vatican II, it makes a difference who the Pope is. A Pope can give us Vatican II Modernism on steroids (hint), OR.....like Pope Benedict XVI....slowly turn the ship around without causing another rupture.

Even with all the devastation wrought by Vatican II, it makes a difference who the Pope is. A Pope can give us Vatican II Modernism on steroids (hint), OR.....like Pope Benedict XVI....slowly turn the ship around without causing another rupture.

Under Pope Benedict we had a great stabilization taking place in the Church, and Tradition was given its rightful place in the heart of the Church once again with Summorum Pontificum, which in itself was a great reparation to Almighty God and drew down upon the Church many blessings.

In addition, for example, Pope Benedict insisted on the highly significant corrections to some essential texts of the Mass, such as the Consecration (For you and for many...not "all") and the "Lord I am not worthy" before Holy Communion which had been completely changed in a humanistic manner from its scriptural origins.

There was a resurgence of vocations and many young men were encouraged by Pope Benedict's orthodoxy and stabilizing influence to enter the Priesthood. We all experienced renewed hope that perhaps all the insanity of Vatican II would be more fully mitigated.

Pope Benedict's Papacy was certainly not free from the influence of Modernism or the deeply entrenched moral and spiritual corruption in Rome; but his solicitude for the restoration of the Liturgy was clear, and as this touches upon the very worship of God Himself, it constitutes an absolutely essential element of restorative justice.

All Francis is doing is lighting the candles on the cake!

It's the "Vatican Council II" effect. Blaming Francis for over half a century's error is both naive and near-sighted.
Dr Bobus
Yes and no. He didn't invent the ideology, but his formation groomed him in it.

What a surprise. All you have to do is go down the alphabetical list, A-Z of Archdioceses and dioceses and nothing but decline every years since Vatican II closed in 1965, accelerated by evil Popes like Paul VI and especially Francis.
