Milan Archbishop Calls God, Saint Paul “Pagans”
"Prayer is not here for asking God to take away a punishment which he has sent, we don't have an angry God who needs to be appeased," Milan Archbishop Mario Delpini told LaStampa.it (March 16).
“That strikes me as a very pagan image,” Delpini insisted.
Milan is the world’s biggest diocese, and at the center of the Italian coronavirus epidemy.
The religion, Delpini proclaims, is not Christian.
Saint Paul says that “the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness” (Rom 1,18) and that “the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience” (Eph 5:6; Col 3:6).
God himself says about those who spurn his commandments, “I will visit you with panic, with wasting disease and fever that consumes the eyes and make the heart ache (Lev 26,16).”
