Young People Pray the Rosary, Diocese Calls Police

Angers Bishop Emmanuel Delmas had gathered various denominations during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, in order to promote "openness" and "tolerance." But when Catholics started praying, the deacon Joël Caillé, who was present, called the police.
Bishop Delmas told media activists that he "strongly" condemned the prayer. According to him, the young people showed a “lack of respect for the prayer” and for the "sacred character of the church as a place of unity, peace and communion” which evidently excludes Catholics who pray the rosary.
A revealing picture published on Ouest-France.fr shows young Catholics kneeling in a church in the midst of aging secularised people.
