More than just a generalization HerzMariae . It's the truth! The famous satire "The Stepford Wives" slyly made the same point. How does the heroine realize the wives of Stepford are being replaced by stay-at-home robot-wives?

Their homes are suddenly spotless, their children are always clean and aren't being dumped at "daycares", their families are regularly eating hot, delicious multi-course home-cooked dinners, their husbands are actually looking forward to going home.

Essentially everything that was commonplace in families before the great rot of the 60s swept every aspect of Western culture, including the Church. Things really WERE better, "pre VC II". All those advertisements from the late 1950s might seem dated and even comical by today's more "sophisticated" standards, but people really did live like that. Old photo albums are shocking testament to this.

There is hope.. Traditional Latin Mass culture goes much further than the liturgy. Mothers take visible pride in being able to say "I home-school my children". What's left unsaid is, "my husband earns enough that we can afford to home-school on one salary."

The "way things were" now is finally being recognized as the way things ought to be.
