Britain: Silent Prayer Becomes a "Crime"

Britain’s decadent House of Commons on Tuesday approved legislation to create prohibition zones around abortion clinics banning a wide range of behaviour, including "silent prayer."

Any act that might "influence" a mother's decision to kill her baby is forbidden. An amendment to exempt prayer and consensual conversation was voted down by the lawmakers.

The vote came the day after a pro-lifer was arrested in Birmingham for the second time for "silent prayer."

The offence will be punishable by a fine, a change from a previously proposed prison sentence. However, the fine is unlimited.

Yes, as a UK citizen, I can agree with that. The police are completely useless and are no longer there to enforce law and order, they are just agents of political correctness - when you can even find one of them. And it's true - if you get burgled, unless you're rich or famous, they just give you a crime number over the phone to give to your insurers, and they don't even bother to come out half the time. But if you do anything which offends the politically-correct brigade, they can suddenly magic up a van load of police to come and deal with the alleged 'crime'. It's all about making their arrest figures look good, and the simple fact is, it's far easier to arrest people like Isabel Vaughan-Spruce than it is to catch real criminals.
