Leo XIV Inherited a Crisis - and Makes It Worse

In a July 6 InfoVaticana.com opinion piece ("Tribune"), Pedro Gómez Carrizo argues that decades of doctrinal and disciplinary drift have hollowed out the Church's authority.

He writes that Leo XIV demands obedience from the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. after years of treating other disputes as negotiable, contextual, or exempt.

Leo XIV' Priorities Exposed

Rome has tolerated what Carrizo considers far more serious ruptures than the episcopal consecration of the FSSPX:
- Germany's Synodal Way, which has drifted toward schism without consequence.
- Episcopal appointments negotiated with China's Communist Party.
- Blessings of homosexual couples.
- Liturgical experimentation.
- Synodality, which has repackaged old heresies as "innovation".

The willingness to make exceptions in many controversial areas while drawing an absolute line at Écône, Carrizo contends, exposes the pope’s priorities rather than his strength.

"The Signature Is Tucho's; the Failure Is Leo XIV's"

Carrizo portrays Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández as the embodiment of the doctrinal "flexibility" he blames for the Church's current crisis.

Fernández's action against the FSSPX took the form of a Note, whereas only a formal penal Decree can establish the schismatic status Rome is asserting.

On that basis, Carrizo argues the measure is both legally defective.

Although Fernández signed the document, Carrizo places responsibility on the Pope: "The signature is Tucho's; the failure is Leo XIV's."

Carrizo argues that Rome possesses canonical authority but has squandered the moral credibility that gives authority its force.

Leo XIV, he says, acted as though legal power alone would suffice.

Prevost did not inherit a "crisis"; rather, he is part of the apostasy of his infamous mentor Bergoglio—part of the anti-Christian army waging war against God—which is something very different. Refusing to see reality means being under a diabolical spell.
Let us begin with the irrefutable fact that Benedict did not resign from the papacy; there was a flaw in the resignation—whether involuntary or voluntary—that rendered it invalid. Consequently, there was no apostolic succession, and we are facing yet another false pope who openly defies God and the Church—one who acts against the faith and against morality.
Against the faith: he promotes the heresy of religious indifferentism under the guise of "ecumenism"; he profanes the priesthood and the papacy by recognizing the elevation of a female Lutheran heretic as legitimate; he calls a mosque—where the false god Allah is worshipped—a "sacred place"; and from the very beginning of his sacrilegious, apostate priesthood, he has offered worship to Pachamama, allowed himself to be subjected to a shamanic ritual, etc.
Against Catholic morality: he approves of adultery (*Amoris Laetitia*) and sodomy (*Fiducia Supplicans*). He promotes the sacrilegious pseudo-canonization of an apostate, corrupting 'bishop' who engaged in acts of sexual immorality with indigenous children; he stubbornly elevates homosexual activists to the rank of bishop to corrupt the dioceses; he supports a homosexual chef in a civil "marriage" and gay adoption, etc.
Prevost defies God and scorns the Church founded by Christ, desiring instead a synodal church fabricated by men. No Catholic will have the excuse of ignorance in the face of such a flagrant rebellion against God.

The Apocalypse refers to the anti-church—that which commits fornication with the kings of the earth—as "the Harlot." This is a fitting image for the Bergoglian-Tucho-Prevostian synodal sect, which disguises itself as Anglican, Muslim, Hindu, or Indigenous—or as Jews who reject their Messiah, Jesus Christ—in order to ensnare its adherents and gather them for the battle against the True God. Yet the greatest danger arises when it dons the guise of Catholicism and unwary Catholics join this sect; for in doing so, they align themselves with its rebellion against God, just as the apostate angels did when they united to wage war against Him. We, too, must therefore join Saint Michael in waging war against this imposter sect that usurps the place of the Church and the place that belongs to God.
