Cardinal Fears German Schism - Which Is Already Here
Is Germany headed toward a schism? "I fear: Yes! And I hope: No!" - Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller told Kath.net (5 May).
He states that a "German Church" doesn't exist "except in the minds of authoritarian bishops who abuse their office, power-hungry lay functionaries, and ideologically entrenched professors."
Müller warns against a Christianity that abandons the truth of revelation, reduces itself to social ethics and religious sentimentalism, has only an inner-worldly legitimacy, and makes a fool of itself in front of a secular public. Such a "Christianity" shouldn't weep over its "self-produced irrelevance," he observes.
For Müller the elevation of the "reality of life" - a concept often used by Francis - into a pastoral super-dogma is a Trojan horse crafted by opportunists to dupe simple-minded opponents.
The cardinal objects that Christ alone knows the "realities of life”, both good and bad, of people. Christ did not respond to these realities with adaptation and "paradigm shifts". …More
Why do they keep talking about the schism as if it is a future event ? Can't they see? Can't they hear?
Yeah, they can, but schism doesn't work like that. The Germans have learned from last time. They're not going to say "we're separating from the Church" They're going to keep saying they are part of the Church, still follow her teachings, and then in practice do whatever they want.
Schism already happened after the illicit and doubtfully valid New Mass was created. New Rites are condemned by Session 7 Canon 13 of the Council of Trent which already condemned these protestant and modernist heretics. Pope St. Pius V also forbade any new rites in his papal bull Quo Primum
I told you already, @Defeat Modernism I'm going to factually refute that falsehood whenever you repeat it. Session 7 Canon 13 of the Council of Trent forbade changes to "by the ministers" or "every pastor of the churches". Those are the quotes you repeatedly omit when citing this Council. The Pope outranks both groups mentioned, something you also stubbornly insist on ignoring every time you mention this.
Your reference to Pope St. Pius V is irrelevant. The Novus Ordo Mass is a form of the Roman Rite. It isn't a separate Rite. Borrowing your phrase, "Please learn your Faith, learn Catholic doctrine and history." ;-) Start here...
