Corona Hysteria Has Created 573 New Billionaires

- 573 people have become billionaires during the Covid hysteria, Oxfam reports. In 2022, another 263 million people will slip into extreme poverty.

- The fortunes of oligarchs/billionaires increased more in the first 24 months of the Corona hysteria than in the previous 23 years combined. The total wealth of the world's billionaires is currently equivalent to 13.9% of global GDP and shows a threefold increase compared to 2000 (4.4% at that time).

- The hysteria has created 62 new food billionaires. Oligarchs in the food and energy sectors have increased their fortunes by a billion dollars every two days. Food and energy prices are at their highest levels in decades.

- The fortunes of food and energy billionaires have increased by $453 billion in the last two years. Five of the biggest energy companies (BP, Shell, Total, Exxon, and Chevron) together make $2,600 in profits every second.

- Oil companies' profit margins have doubled during the hysteria, while energy costs are expected to rise by 50% in 2022.

- In the pharmaceutical industry, 40 billionaires have emerged during the Corona hysteria. Moderna and Pfizer make $1000 profit every second from their Covid injection monopolies alone. They received billions of dollars in government money for developing the dangerous injections.

The billionaires' fortunes have not increased because they work harder, the super-rich [who also control the media] - have manipulated the system with impunity for decades, said Gabriela Bucher, executive director of Oxfam International.
