Someone who was born non-Catholic today is going to have a much tougher time making that case. ;-) It's one thing to be born non-Catholic, quite another to ignore The Good News and stay non-Catholic. I suppose some exceptions might still occur, including allowing for cultural upbringing, etc.

...and even then, I'm not optimistic. Some Afghan in the mountains might face his Heavenly Judge and say, "I was raised from infantcy to believe in Allah and the Prophet. Yes, I heard of Catholics, but you see... I was immersed in the Faith of Allah. I thought they were false."

...and that's when the Lord will probably point out the many Afghans who DID convert and were persecuted for it.

eh... not my problem. I'll be trying to explain away plenty of my own sins to worry about anyone else's. :P

If you're not Catholic, you are wrong. God doesn't confirm someone in a false religion. They'll never save their soul that way.
