Pagan rituals are planned for Francis' July 24-29 trip to Canada where he will apologise for “abuse crimes” that never happened.
In Edmonton's Sacred Heart Church, an "elder" will perform a smudge ritual before Francis' eucharist. The smoker will enter the church ahead of Francis with a bowl of smouldering cedar, sage, sweetgrass and tobacco.
Father Cristino Bouvette (Calgary Archdiocese) who has an Italian mother and an indigenous father and is assisting in planning Francis' Eucharists and prayer services admitted to CruxNow.com (July 15) that those rituals are “outside of any particular Catholic expression of faith” but "certainly not contrary to it.”
The goal is to show a "recognition" of these rituals and to make the church “more hospitable” to welcome Francis by “a ritual of purification.”
John Paul II allowed already during his 2002 Mexico City Eucharist a "purification ritual" carried out by a woman in traditional costume waving medicinal herbs in front of the Pope, and other …More

Bergoglio describes his trip to Canada as a 'penitential pilgrimage'. Let's call it what it really is: an anti-Catholic trip that has the objective of defaming the Church, profaning the Mass and denying the true faith.

Marxist apostate and gay activist Robert McElroy also promotes sacrilegious pagan masses.

Precisely: "abuse crimes" that never happened. There is no reason to apologize to "Natives" from the site of RCC . It is like young Germans should apologize to humankind for nazis bad deeds and murders.
The main culprit in that time in Canada was the Canadian Government.

Useless visit and propagation of paganism=satanism.

Why do people call the Mass a 'Eucharist' these days? Serious question - have I missed something along the way? This may be a secular report but I've seen it elsewhere.

It is a term that’s favored by Novus ordo “liturgists.” Strictly speaking, it is not wrong. The Mass, culminating in the consecration, is the Eucharist, but the “liturgists” haven’t used the term as a way to increase reverence for the Sacrament. I would include it with the lexicon of terms used by leftist “catholics” that are either wrong, or misleading.

@John A Cassani Thanks for that. I suspected it was N.O. related! I'll water - strongly - that it's another way of making us 'fit in' with non-Catholic Communion services; be more pleasing to non-Catholics; to further demolish the Mass as the re-enacted Sacrifice of Calvary.

Oh, yes, and don't forget the Good News! I never heard that term when I was young. It was the Gospel or the New Testament.

Although Eucharist is thanksgiving, which there is nothing wrong with it, on the contrary, the modernists are weaponizing the term Eucharist to undermine the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, which is the main part of the Mass and not only a celebration of thanksgiving or communitary meal.
