@Louis IX "Only God can depose a pope" According to you, a pope could not resign either. You forget that the Church has had two persons claiming that they are popes at the same time so according to you it would be impossible to resolve the issue. Also the Church has decreed that the elevation of a heretic is invalid and void. Furthermore, the Church has taught that if a pope falls into heresy, he …More

"Who am I to judge" didn't cause "confusion" among the faithful @Baptist John It showed the faithful the Pope was an idiot promoting an obvious error. Not that you Baptists, who areLutherans, are among the faithful, but that's a different matter.

That's what Cardinal Mueller offers for a rebuke and public statement.
WHAT!
There is going to be Hell to pay.

Yes, he should @Gesù è con noi but only God has the lawful authority to do so. The Pope's subordinates do not and we're all subordinates. :/

"If Bergoglio is deposed by God, how will He let us know?... What sign will our Lord give us that Bergoglio is not the pope?"
Since you asked (linked). :D Given the way The Lord expresses His displeasure throughout Scripture, I can say with complete confidence if the Pope is deposed by God, His sign will be unambiguous.

Even if the Lord forgoes the sort of Old Testament theatrics Mr. Spielberg depicted so impressively, a heart-attack would depose Pope Francis just as effectively.
