@Alex A Because I try to go to the Mass every week and I noticed each week that the number of the peoples that go to confession is very small and disproportionate to the one that go to the Eucharist. Either they're all Saints, an idea that I would love a lot, either they're all lost sinners that don't go to confession before to go to Eucharist.

Given how most of them are dressed, one can be pretty sure that they don't know the basis of the Catholic Doctrine and they're under the subjugation of the false religion invented at Vatican 2. Moreover, as you ask me, given they go to receive the Eucharist from the hand and mostly from the nuns, one can be certain that they don't know at all the Catechism of the Council of Trent. There are quite a huge number of peoples where I used to go to the mass so one can see the evolution throughout the months.

If one has an idea about what should I do given what I noticed, don't hesitate to tell me it.

Seconding Ludovic Denim's observation with one I made just today. Went to the earliest morning Mass I could find today. Novus Ordo. Why? They offer confession. To the pastor's credit, in every bulletin and on their parish web-site, he makes it VERY clear that... yes, the Sacrament of Reconcilliation IS available every morning after Mass, on Saturdays, Sundays, and yes, you CAN make an appointment …More

To the pastor's credit, in every bulletin and on their parish web-site, he makes it VERY clear that... yes, the Sacrament of Reconcilliation IS available every morning after Mass, on Saturdays, Sundays, and yes, you CAN make an appointment any time YOUR busy schedule is open.

The moment the service was over, sure enough, he cut down the parishioner chit-chat and made a bee-line for the confessional booths -all for the express benefit of one sinner sitting next to them in the back row pew, namely yours truly.

Penance was insanely light, so I "family-sized" it and noticed, to my horror, everyone else was casually sauntering out. Now these weren't just busy people rushing off to work. They were mostly house-wives and retirees. Father stayed in the confessional for a good bit until the church was literally empty of everyone else.

So yeah, confession WAS available to any sinner who needed it. Even to some guy who doesn't normally even go to that parish. Sadly, however, modern Catholics apparently have no sense of personal sin or guilt any more than the godless secular culture they choose to look down upon.

Promote confession?? Your kidding....he gives them mercy straight into hell.

Sadly it's already like this with most people that go to the Eucharist without being first to confession.
