Earlier this year, a video circulated online in which Leatherby, who appeared to be driving a car at night, recorded a video message for an unidentified woman, who, according to Leatherby, is not the subject of the 2016 allegation.
“Hey, Baby Doll,” Leatherby says, as he begins the video.
“I love that without mascara that you are still strikingly beautiful. I love that. I love it, like, a lot. A lot a lot. I loved it earlier when I saw you, and you didn’t have it on, and I loved it all night long. ‘Til the present time, and you still don’t have it on, and you’re still gorgeous.”
After discussing an event he had attended that evening, Leatherby says in the video, “I love you, I love you, I love you, you’re my girl. I imagine I’ll still say a ‘good night’ before I really, really, really go to bed, but I love you, even now, before then. Ok, goodnight, I love you.”
Leatherby said this week that he accidentally sent that message to an unintended recipient, and acknowledged the video “…More

He's certainly entitled to his beliefs and, given his refusal to abjure them, the Church's summary judgement therefore fully applies.
Gesù è con noi
So far we have several false accusations that the Bergoglians have made to take revenge on the priests who oppose them. That was Bergoglio's strategy against the priests who resisted him. For example, that was the strategy that the Bergoglians tried to use against Mons. Rogelio Livieres

@philosopher There is no such thing as an "emeritus" pope. You're either pope or you're not. B16 still is pope, and he acts like it. He wrote long ago about bifurcating the papacy, which he cannot do. He's a clever German, but whether he likes it or not, he's pope. Francis is not a pope. He's an antipope.

Quite within a Pope’s power to create “Emeritus” designation for a pope who has voluntarily resigned as per Canon Law.

ORLY? Does he now... ;-)

Easy enough to demonstrate with out a wall of text, either. Links to URLs only. Please link a photo of B16 wearing his Papal ring (not his episcopal one) dated. after Feb. 28, 2013. Ditto for B16 lookin' fabulous in his Papal mozzetta Then link up …More

As for Emeritus, it's a fancy way of saying "retired".

From Merriam Webster: "a person retired from professional life but permitted to retain as an honorary title the rank of the last office held."

"The last office held" means the person doesn't hold the office any longer. When the office is the Papacy, that means the person is no longer Pope. The very title B16 chose carries an unequivocal renunciation of being Pope.

It's no different than "General" So 'n So with (Ret.) after his name.

@Still_I_Rise And, emeritus teachers, professors, provosts, presidents, doctors,...the list goes on and on for bestoying the honorary title for retirees who have given distinguished service. You may, not like Pope Francis, even Dante could not stand Pope Boniface VIII's personage and placed him in the 8th Circle of hell, but being a good Catholic he acquiesced to the Divinely instituted office of the Chair of St. Peter. @philosopher the papacy isn't a human institution, like teaching, provosts, doctors, etc. Either you are the pope or you're not. There is no in between. Not only is this logical, it's also borne out by history and canon law. I'm sorry you can't understand this, or maybe don't want to, but there is no such thing as a pope emeritus. Good luck!

@Still_I_Rise And, emeritus is not being asserted by Benedict as an official ecclesial order or divinely sanctioned status. There is historical precedence for a pope resigning and stepping down. IMHO he probably shouldn't have accepted that title as it has only led to these kinds of speculations. But, in a CNA interview on April 18, 2018 he stated that he prefers to be called Father Benedict, …More

IMHO he probably shouldn't have accepted that title as it has only led to these kinds of speculations. But, in a CNA interview on April 18, 2018 he stated that he prefers to be called Father Benedict, since he is no longer the pope. And, when I eventually make it to Rome in the future, if ever I bumped into him at a Vatican museum or church that is how I will address him.

@philosopher the precedent is that you resign, leave the Vatican, go back to your Christian name. You don't suggest you've expanded the papacy, as B16 has, and you don't respond to "Your Holiness". And you don't wear the papal white. B16 is the reason the Church is in shambles, yet he is still pope. If he fully resigned now, the seat would be vacant. Francis is an imposter, choosing the name of …More

Francis is an imposter, choosing the name of the Saint who prophesied his rise. That's all there is to it. It's not up for debate. Bye now.

@FM Shyanguya Even the SSPX accepts Pope Francis as the true and legitimate pope. This whole theory that B16 is still the pope would be like a Democrat saying that Obama is still president. I don't think they understand the meaning of the emeritus status.

Seeking release from the clerical state was the goal. Pope Francis as the reason was the excuse.

How many here on GTV were quick in praising him and hailing him as a saint?
