Francis, 84, has gone to Rome’s Gemelli Polyclinic (July 4) for scheduled surgery on a restriction of the large intestine.
The Vatican press office announced that the stenosis surgery would be performed on Sunday.
Francis had been diagnosed with “symptomatic diverticular stenosis of the colon”, a narrowing in the large intestine.

. I trust you and your family are all ok. Although this press release appears to be almost routine, I personally think this is big and the surgery will uncover something more dire possibly incapacitating Francis in the near future. I am sure the Vatican will withhold this information as long as they can. It's just a hunch on my part.
