As expected, Francis appointed the anti-Catholic Curia Archbishop Arthur Roche, 71, as the new prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship.
Since 2012, Roche has been the Secretary of this Congregation. He succeeds Cardinal Robert Sarah who retired in February. The new secretary will be the anti-Catholic Tortona Bishop Vittorio Francesco Viola.
Prelate Aurelio García Marcías, originally from Valladolid, until now head of the Congregation's office, is appointed its undersecretary and promoted to bishop.
