Fence-sitting is no longer a tenable option, as any hopes for the coexistence of two “forms,” one ordinary and one extraordinary (a legal fiction to begin with), have now been definitively ruled out. There can never be any “mutual enrichment” between the two rites. There are only two options now: either wholeheartedly embrace the so-called “liturgical reform,” or profess adherence to the Mass of All Time for doctrinal, rather than merely aesthetic, reasons. Good riddance to Pope Francis and his ilk. Here in Archdiocese of Phila,, the number of the soon to close archdiosecean seminary (2024) was 150+ for 2021-22 last year. This year, the seminary is down to 133, even with the intake of several "new men". I asked some seminarians their opinion of Pope Francis in general, and what he has done to the Roman Rite (Traditional Latin Mass). Very many hate the man and consider him not even Catholic. I was told many still want to celebrate the Roman Mass, despite Francis. But there is a small group (minority) who love the "Holy Father", pray for him, and support him. 🥱 😤
