Adrien, sure they are in the mind of the Chinese. The Chinese see the woke state of the military and KNOW we are very vulnerable. this is proof that the US military is UNserious about defending the country.
From a military perspective, this question is neither here nor there. The US military is made up of more than 2,100,000 people. It has no impact on the global firepower, the total number of equipment (fleet etc.), and the high-tech level. I think the US military is strong on sea and in many places around the world. It has a good coast guard, but its mainland is poorly defended, and the cities are extremely vulnerable, especially if weapons were massively given to certain parts of the population.
China or Russia will never have the possibility of landing armies in the US mainland. So, there will be no classic battlefield. The danger is their missiles or any special weapon.
