Russian Metropolitan Meets U.S. Vice President - Memorable Words

Metropolitan Hilarion of Volocolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, met U.S. Vice President Michael Pence on 11 May 2017 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington before a plenary session of the World Summit in Defense of Persecuted Christians.

Pence greeted the assembly with the words: “I’m a Christian, a conservative, and a Republican, in that order.”

...and a lapsed Catholic! It IS great to hear someone say what they mean. I think Vice President Pence used similar words in January when he became the first U.S. VP to address the massive March for Life crowd.
