An important bishop of Paraguay will leave the priesthood because of an affair with a woman who is described as “a beautiful prosecutor,” Mirian Soilán (RadioUno.com.py) wrote on Twitter.com (April 8).
The news was spread in multiple languages on Gloria.tv by @Antoni Baio Jilguero who notices that this is the same country where Francis deposed Bishop Livieres (+2015) of Ciudad del Este who for Francis was to Catholic and successful.
The last Paraguay bishop to abandon the priesthood was Fernando Lugo who fathered several children, one with a sixteen-year-old girl while he was a bishop, and who later became President of Paraguay.
Paraguay has fifteen dioceses. Under sixty are the bishops of Benjamin Acevál (9 priests), Chaco Paraguayo (10 priests), Concepción (46 priests), Encarnación (54), and San Juan Bautista de las Misiones (33 priests). Only Concepción (Bishop Miguel Cabello) and Encarnación (Francisco Pistilli) are important dioceses.

We forget, or perhaps do not, even associate such an incident with pre-Vatican 2 priesthoods. Yet such events did occur. The difference being, that it was viewed, a personal failing, [sin] on the part of both parties and not attributed to any specific Church event.

As God’s inspired word calls them “the world rulers of this present darkness.” All these power people live in time, and all time is created by God. This same God will determine when each of them can no longer live in His time here and each of them will be before Him. The fallen angels want them and all of us to fall with them – and choose, freely, to reject the loving God who made us. These devils also want us to be happy about the prospect of these “present darkness” rulers going to hell forever without repenting.
