Detroit: He Was A False Catholic Priest – And Didn’t Know About It

Father Matthew Hood who is stationed in Dearborn, Detroit Archdiocese, watched a video of his baptism noticing that it was not performed properly by Deacon Mark Springer. This came after the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith warned that baptisms using the we-form are invalid. Hood contacted the Archdiocese and was able to fix his situation. He was properly baptised and confirmed. Then he was ordained a deacon. Last Monday evening he received the priestly ordination.

Catholic Professor Warns: Trump is “NOT” Pro-Life

It would be – quote – “a terrible mistake” to consider President Donald Trump “pro-life,” Thomas M. Kelly, a Creighton Professor for Catholic Theology insisted on Omaha.com. On the contrary, because of Trump life, is “under assault” Kelly believes. As a proof, he uses Pope Francis’ watered-down concept of “pro life” that puts an emphasis on anything but abortion, for example: mass-immigration, climate change, wearing masks, promoting homosexuals or whatever.

For Biden the Smoke Comes Later

Joe Biden’s – quote – “Catholic Faith” was on display at Democratic convention’s final night the Jesuit America Magazine believes. The Jesuits are a formerly Catholic order. Biden’s friend, Senator Chris Coons, Democrat of Delaware, said that Biden’s faith “is strong and it’s personal and private. For Joe, faith isn’t a prop or political tool.” Emcee Julia Louis-Dreyfus pointed at President Donald Trump’s photo op during Black Lives Matter riots in Washington, D.C. “Just remember,” she said, “Joe Biden goes to church so regularly that he doesn’t even need tear gas and a bunch of federalized troops to help him get there.”

Father James Martin Prays for Unborn Babies

During the convention a trio of religious leaders—a rabbi, a priest and an imam—offered prayers, including the homosexual activist James Martin, S.J. “Open our hearts to those most in need,” Father Martin said, before offering a litany of eight groups in need. In the seventh position he mentioned quote – “the unborn child in the womb”, just behind -quote – “the gay teen who is bullied.”

Prof Kelly doesn't seem to know the difference between a general and particular moral precept.
philosopher
@Dr. Bobus. True, nor the difference categorically between orthodox Catholicism and post-structuralist Hegelianism.

Pardon me for slightly changing the subject of this thread.

GTV has been recently defined by overwhelming negativity. Each day the self-defined savants (led by the Kenyan, barefoot, loin cloth wearing, goat herder) appear at GTV to express their desire to cause pain simply for the satisfaction of doing harm. President Trump is one of their prime targets. The United States is a target. Last but far from least Pope Francis is a target. According to them he’s not the pope and if you think or express otherwise a solemnly pronounced anathema will be levied upon you by their own assumed authority and possibly accompanied by an excommunication again by their own assumed authority.

GTV would be graduate material for a study in abnormal psychology. How can people be so negative so much of the time? The reason is ego. Pride. They believe they are enlightened and would like to appear to be the smartest person in the room. The way to do this (in their own minds) is to focus on the negative aspects of a person when all others offer praise or admiration for that same person.

These deluded souls can only be negative. There are no alternatives for them. This is their nature and this is why they are abnormal.

They will be here today but fortunately they are predictable, easy to spot and to avoid.

Hey, I just got in... didn't even post here yet, Holy Cannoli. No pardons needed. All this anti-Trump criticism always makes me question the realities of its potential effect on the presidential campaign

Hey, I just got in... didn't even post here yet, Holy Cannoli. No pardons needed. All this anti-Trump criticism always makes me question the realities of its potential effect on the presidential campaign

Are the critics this dedicated to the truth and damn the consequences? Or is it just another form of crypto-support for Biden? Compared to his opposition, The Donald is undeniably "the better of two evils" when it comes to being pro-life. (apologies to Brian Hugh Warner).

One thing you may want to remember about 'the Kenyan"... Whatever else his many faults may be regarding US politics, at least the man can play Pin The Tail On The Pope without making a hash of it. Double-check his posts.. did I miss somethig? If I did, hey, I'll appreciate a correction and, contrary to what some have said elsewhere, I'll be the first one to acknowledge it.

Catholic charity compels us to give credit where credit's due.

Personally, I've never seen pride and ego as a source of negativity. Proud people have a reason for their pride. They're smarter, richer, cuter, funnier, more popular.

Whatever the given basis for comparison, they're winners. They have a sense of humour in proportion to their awesomesauce. Yes, there's an implicit compliment in that..

Look around GTV... It's the losers who are grim sourpusses making a virtue of their "serious" faith and pretending the Pope isn't the Pope.

Heck, I'll be the first one to admit Pope Francis is a buffoon. GTV's cartoonist has an endless source of material. But he's still the Pope. A bad pope, not the first bad pope in church history, but still the current pope however else we might hope and pray for someone better. Instead, the faitfhul are probably going to see that lunatic Cardinal Tagle doing his best John Travolta impersonation after the next papal conclave.

For all Francis' failings, at least the man has decent taste in food. He'll sit there dithering on about sins against the environment but he loves a good steak. Vegan eco-hippies have a dozen different reasons why meat is murder and a "sin" against Gaia and Pachamama, yadda yadda yadda

But like every other good limousine liberal, our pontiff is an epicure.. He's got no hesitation sending Bossy the Cow to the slaughterhouse for a steady supply of Papal Filet Mignon.

"GTV would be graduate material for a study in abnormal psychology."

...ain't that the truth? This happens on any site without regular active moderation. The crazies find it and turn it into a mad-house. Yeah, you're off-topic. Remind me later tonight to assign you a suitable penance, my son. Now ain't a good time. I'm riding a wicked buzz brought on by several cans of Monster Espresso inspired by by @philosopher's stunning display of caffeinated genius over here.

After seeing the effect on him, I scored a can later that same night at a local Pakistani-run 7-11. Chugged it in the parking lot and... whoo...MFW five minutes later.

First thing this morning I was down at Walmart stripping the shelves. You will notice their offical site says Monster Espresso is "out of stock". Darn straight it is. I made sure of that.

Incredible stuff.

as for President Trump...... he's MORE pro-life than those whom we foolishly accepted as 'pro-life........ something is better than nothing. The neophytes don't understand this, of course.

Cardinal Dolan will speak tomorrow night at the GOP convention. It’s a good choice politically. He’s just left of center enough to appeal to the pseudo catholics while still pleasing to the mostly faithful Catholics who are impressed with his title and haven’t followed the good cardinal’s history and tacit gay advocacy.

Each person in these groups can have hope except for those in group #7. What the chi-chi bwoy 🥴 has attempted to do is to create a moral equivalence between leftist special interest groups and the protection of innocent unborn life. There is no equivalence so it is manufactured in order to cover for the Democrats and their transparent pro-abortion ticket. www.nationalreview.com/…/a-biden-adminis…
