And yet German bishops insist on lecturing on how to evangelize and run a church. It's like if a branch manager who lost 50% of his market share during his tenure tried lecturing you on sales. The German bishops and that failed generation of priests are a confederacy of failures.

But what about the "toxic rhetoric against Vatican 2 and the Pope himself that was coming from American Catholics? Surely this is a bigger problem than national apostasy. Traditionis Custodes was required to correct this "toxic rhetoric".
A poll last year said only about 1/3 of Catholics regularly attending Mass believe in Transubstantiation. That indicates that toxic rhetoric is not the problem but a lack of faith.
What has Francis done to address this problem? Do you think that Pachamama will help?More
