Christ Or Money: The new Polish prime-minister Mateusz Morawiecki has called on the European Union to return to its values and to its traditional Christian roots. Talking to the Catholic TV Trwam he said that his dream was to “christianize the European Union again”. Poland has been threatened by the EU that it would be punished if it restricts abortion rights. Morawiecki said that the former French president François Hollande told him, “You have the values, we have the money.”
Loss of Credibility: The Boston Globe which exposed sexual abuse in the Boston Archdiocese, has published a self-report of sexual abuse of its own employees. Catholic League’s Bill Donohue pointed out that the newspaper released the story right before 6:00 p.m. on Friday in order to minimize the attention, the report would receive.
